39th Annual East Berlin Colonial Day

sponsored by East Berlin Historical Preservation Society

Saturday, September 07, 2013

Time: 8:00am-4:00pm

Festival Event

Mix some of the country’s finest crafters of traditional wares, demonstrations of colonial skills, high energy entertainment and irresistible food and you have the East Berlin Historical Preservation Society’s 38th Colonial Day. West King Street will be closed to traffic and filled with the many thousands of visitors seeking the quality and variety showcased in the Society’s juried show.

A big part of Colonial Day is food. The Society sells pig roast sandwiches, funnel cakes made from scratch the old way, hot dogs, apple dumplings, sausage sandwiches and old fashion root beer and birch beer at its four food booths. In addition a full food court offers pretzels, ice cream, kettle corn, crab cakes, smoothies, fries, Asian selections, shaved ice, baked goods and more.

A long-standing tradition will continue with the raffling of a Churn Dash pattern quilt, 93” square, handquilted by the Society Quilters. All proceeds benefit the non-profit East Berlin Historical Preservation Society.  Held rain or shine. Free admission. Paid parking available. No pets, please.
