Gettysburg's Tuba Carol Fest to be held Dec. 12

Gettysburg, Pennsylvania – December 10, 2008

 

Tuba, Euphonium and baritone horn players of all ages will gather Friday, Dec. 12, at 7 p.m. on Lincoln Square in Historic Downtown Gettysburg for the 13th Annual Gettysburg Tuba Carol Fest.

 

The performance, held outside the Gettysburg Hotel, is sponsored by the Adams County Arts Council and directed by Ben Jones, retired Biglerville and Gettysburg band director and Gettysburg Festival Artistic Director for brass. Music for the performance is “Tuba Carols” and is published by Ludwig.

 

Hot chocolate will be provided complimentary by the Gettysburg Hotel and the Gettysburg Convention & Visitors Bureau.

 

Players will register at 5:30 p.m. at the Prince of Peace Episcopal Church, followed by rehearsal at 6 p.m.

 

In case of rain, the performance will be held at the Prince of Peace Episcopal Church on Baltimore and High Streets.
