Seussical, the musical based on the works of Dr. Seuss, will play at The Majestic on Saturday, March 14, at 3 p.m.

Join Dr. Seusss best-loved characters, including Cat in the Hat, as they collide in this unforgettable musical caper adapted from the Broadway version especially for young audiences. The works of one of the most prolific childrens authors of all time will literally come alive on stage at the Majestic.

The Cat in the Hat hosts and emcees this romp through classic Dr. Seuss tales recognizable by the lovable characters including Horton and his Who friend JoJo, Miss Gertrude McFuzz, Mayzie La Bord, and many more.

Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens conceived Seussical for Broadway audiences where it ran from 2000-2001. After achieving Broadway success, they condensed their show to a one-act version appropriate for young audiences. Since 2006, Theaterworks USA has performed Seussical to wide acclaim and received the 2008 Lucille Lortel Award nomination for Outstanding Revival, Outstanding Choreography and Outstanding Costumes.

This show will delight children of all ages, said Jeffrey Gabel, Founding Executive Director of the Majestic Theater. The witty words of Dr. Seuss will come to life right in front of your childrens eyes.

Theaterworks USA has a distinguished history of providing young audiences with their first taste of the performing arts.
