John Kramb, co-owner of the Adams County Winery, today announced that the winery had won three medals at the recent Finger Lakes International Eastern Wine Competition. Judges awarded two Silver Medals and one Bronze Medal to the winery.

The winery won Silver medals for its Seducente wine and one for its Rebel Red wine.  The Bronze Medal went to the Black magic Blackberry wine. The prestigious competition was conducted in Rochester, N.Y., last month as a fundraising event for Camp Good Days and Special Times.

For more than 28 years, Camp Good Days has brought smiles to children and their families who are affected by cancer and other life challenges, said Gary Mervis, Chairman and founder of the camp. All of the programs and services provided by Camp Good Days are offered free of charge to the participants. We are only able to continue this through the generosity of so many individuals and the success of our fundraising events such as our wine competition.

I was absolutely thrilled to get these awards, said Kramb. It was especially gratifying because two of these wines are brand new to our wine list.  Kramb and his wife, Katherine, have owned the winery for the past 10 years.

Adams County Winery, a nationally known business, is located near Orrtanna, Pa, and is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. To get there from Gettysburg, head west toward Cashtown on Route 30 approximately eight miles to the blinking yellow light; turn left at the light and follow the signs to the winery.  Call (717) 334-4631 for more information.
