Now celebrating its fifth season, the Majestic Theater recently announced an international lineup of entertainment that will keep audiences applauding from August through May. The celebrity-filled season brings a host of Tony award-winning Broadway stars, circus performers from Russia, the patriotic pageantry of Ireland and Scotland, Grammy-winning musicians, disco dance queen legends, and much more to the historic Gettysburg stage.

Its hard to believe that it has been five years since we completed the Majestics $20 million make-over, muses Jeffrey W. Gabel, founding executive director of the Majestic Theater at the Jennifer and David LeVan Performing Arts Center. Time really does fly when youre having fun, and since re-opening in 2003, the Majestic has presented 224 live performances, 247 film titles in more than 1,800 screenings with a total audience of over 157,000. But in show business, youre only as good as your last standing ovation so Ive planned a fifth season celebration of over-the-top entertainment.

Tickets go on sale June 11 at noon, and Gabel predicts that several shows will sell out quickly based on robust pre-sales to current members.

The 2009-2010 showcases popular groups as The Letterman on Dec. 9 to sing their famous hits and the holiday songs you treasure, and the legendary Temptations on April 8 with their smooth stepping and flawless presentations of tunes like My Girl, Since I Lost My Baby, and Papa was a Rolling Stone.
