The New Oxford Area Historical Society will be hosting a ghost tour of some of the haunted properties in New Oxford, Pa.

Steve McNaughton, paranormal investigator and author of Pennsylvania’s Adams County Ghosts, will be guiding participants through the streets of New Oxford. See where spirits of children are said to play Ring-Around-The-Rosie; hear about what properties may have been involved in the Underground Railroad; see the houses where a neighborhood girl is said to play with unsuspecting travelers; discover which homes have dead owners are claimed to be still walking the halls; and step into the dirt floor cells of New Oxford’s first jail.

The ghost walk will be held on one night only - Saturday, Nov. 7. There will be two tours – 6 p.m. and 8 p.m., beginning and ending at the New Oxford Coffee Co. and Visitor’s Center.

Tickets are available at the New Oxford Coffee Co., Center Square, and The Christmas Haus, 110 Lincoln Way West, both in New Oxford. Ticket prices: Day of Tour - $11, Advanced Purchase - $10, NOAHS Member - $9. No children under 10. No children under 16 without an adult. Space is limited.

Steve McNaughton will be selling and signing copies of his book, Pennsylvania’s Adams County Ghosts, at the New Oxford Coffee Co. and Visitor’s Center in New Oxford immediately following each tour.

Meet the ghostly woman of the Klingle House, or little Alice who visits Chestnut Hall. Learn stories of the Cashtown Inn, the Farnsworth House and the Bechtel Victorian Mansion.

Steve McNaughton also operates the haunted Chestnut Hall Bed and Breakfast in New Oxford. He established the paranormal investigative group called P.E.E.R. (Paranormal and Environmental Explanations from Research) and explores South Central Pennsylvania in his search and verification of the paranormal.

All proceeds benefit the New Oxford Area Historical Society.
