'Girls Just Wanna Have Fun' weekend March 19-21

A weekend getaway, “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun,” sponsored by participating Inns of the Gettysburg Area and the Spirited Ladies artists' group of Gettysburg, will be held March 19-21.

The weekend includes a day of arts and crafts activities. Schedule for the weekend events are:
• Friday check into your Inn.
• Friday evening on your own. The Spirited Ladies invite visitors to visit their shoppe at 45 Chambersburg St., Gettysburg. Other downtown activities include dinner at one of the fine restaurants and perhaps a ghost walk.
• Saturday morning - breakfast at the inns.
• Then it’s off to the Herr Tavern for an hour Make and Take Workshop with one of the Spirited Ladies artisans. Activites include “Beading 101, Part 1”, “Decorative Lighted Wine Bottle,” Decoupage An Ornament,” and “You Can Be an Artist, Part 1.”
• The morning workshop is followed by a lunch buffet at 12:30 p.m. The afternoon workshop choices from 1:30 to3:30 p.m. are: “Beading 101, Part 2,” “Creating a Photo Collage,” “Shell Wind Chimes,” or “You Can Be an Artist, Part 2.”
• At 3:30 p.m. follow the Spirited Ladies to the Sharpshooters Grill where guests can learn how to mix exotic cocktails at the bar. Each innkeeper will have suggestions for an enjoyable dinner experience on Saturday evening.
• Sunday morning is breakfast at each inn.

The participating Inns are: Barker House B&B, Battlefield B&B, Baladerry B&B, Brafferton Inn B&B, Chestnut Hall B&B, Gaslight Inn B&B, Inn at Herr Ridge, James Gettys Hotel and Lightner Farmhouse B&B.

The package for Saturday, March 20 is added to the room rental fee at a rate of $60 per person, which will include two “Make and Take Workshop” fees and lunch at the Herr Tavern. Supplies will be extra and a list of the supply costs will be provided prior to the workshops.
