The Gettysburg Foundation is accepting applications for the Friends of Gettysburg’s Home Guard volunteer program.

Volunteers will offer assistance to visitors at the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum and Visitor Center and at the Rupp House (451 Baltimore St., Gettysburg) for the upcoming summer season. Positions may include providing member information, serving as greeters, theater ushers and group bus hosts at the Museum and Visitor Center, and greeting visitors at the Rupp House location.

No experience is necessary, training will be provided, and flexible hours will fit a variety of schedules. Anyone with an interest in working with the public to provide visitors with the best possible experience should contact Terri Altland at the Gettysburg Foundation at (717) 338-1243 or via email at [email protected]. Home Guard volunteer applications are also available at www.gettysburgfoundation.org.
