Willow Pond Farm gets national attention

(Gettysburg, Pennsylvania) - 10/12/2006

Willow Pond Farm of Fairfield, PA (ten minutes west of Gettysburg) has been selected by nationally acclaimed author Susan Wittig Albert as one of eight “places to go” if you have an interest in herbs. In her just-published book, “China Bayles’ Book of Days,” Ms. Albert notes that, “Willow Pond Farm will linger long in your memory.”

Madeline Wajda, owner of Willow Pond Farm, said she is “extremely pleased’ with the designation. “The others on the list of places to go include the Fredericksburg Herb Farm in Texas, Buffalo Springs in Virginia, and The Herb Farm in Washington. It’s an honor to be listed in the same category with them.”

Ms. Albert writes that “Madeline’s sweet and savory jellies are a farm specialty and worth all the praise they get.” She also strongly recommends the Pennsylvania Lavender Festival held at Willow Pond Farm the third weekend in June.

Signed copies of “China Bayle’s Book of Days” are available at the Willow Pond Farm shop, 145 Tract Rd., Fairfield, PA 17320.
