The Annual Gettysburg Civil War Battle Re-enactment is now offering tickets for groups planning to attend the 150th Anniversary Commemoration event.

The Gettysburg Re-enactment is scheduled July 4-7, 2013, as part of the 150th Anniversary Commemoration of the Civil War’s most famous battle. Over the course of four days, visitors will not only watch re-creations of the battle’s most significant fighting, but will walk through both Union and Confederate camps, see demonstrations on medicine, religion, music and Civil War fashion.

“The Gettysburg Re-enactment is always a highlight of the Civil War experience in Gettysburg,” said Norris Flowers, President of the Gettysburg Convention & Visitors Bureau. “This large event will keep spectators entertained for days. There is so much to do – from talking directly with soldiers to watching medical demonstrations and shopping in the sutler village.”

Adult group tickets start at $25 for a one-day pass. Daily group youth passes are $12 for children 6-12. Those under 6 years old are free. Multi-day passes are also available.

For a group ticket order form or for more information, contact Jenny McConnell, Director of Sales, Gettysburg Convention & Visitors Bureau, at (717) 338-1053 or [email protected].

The Gettysburg Re-enactment is part of a 10-day event – starting June 28, 2013 – marking the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg. The commemoration will include special tributes, new events, programs, tours and attractions on the Gettysburg battlefield, throughout the town and in surrounding communities. More than 15,000 re-enactors and Civil War era civilians are expected, along with 400 mounted cavalry and 100 cannons.

The Gettysburg Convention & Visitors Bureau, the official tourism promotion agency, markets Gettysburg – Adams County as a premier travel destination, producing a positive economic impact.
