The American Civil War Wax Museum Complex brings history to life through living history encampments and demonstrations most weekends, April through November. Witness what life was like for soldiers on the front line and in camp during the Civil War.
The living history program at the American Civil War Wax Museum Complex is an educational experience that allows visitors to actively learn by walking through camp and speaking to re-enactors that represent various military units from both sides of the war.
Programming and demonstrations vary depending on the contracted group; however, they all depict a common element – the soldier and his role in one of the most pivotal and costly wars in American history.
The living history encampment and programs are complimentary to all visitors. Suitable for the entire family, everyone walks away with a better sense of life during the 1860s. For more than 20 years, the encampments and demonstrations have been a staple at the American Civil War Wax Museum.
